Aerial Golf brand

Overview

Aerial Golf set out to bring courses new golfers by showcasing their facility with aerial drone footage — an online collection of hole-by-hole video previews golfers could watch on their phone as they played. Because it was first-of-its-kind, everything had to be built from zero: the identity, the responsive site, and the marketing that explained a concept nobody had seen.

The challenge

Sell an unfamiliar idea to two audiences at once — course owners deciding whether to sign on, and golfers deciding whether to watch. The design had to make drone-video-for-golf feel obvious and credible.

  • Establish instant credibility for a brand that didn't exist yet
  • Make browsing courses and holes effortless on mobile
  • Explain a brand-new category to owners and players alike

Approach & process

I led UX/UI end to end — a complete brand system, the information architecture for browsing courses, the mobile-first WordPress build, and a library of launch marketing. Each layer reinforced the same idea: watch the hole, then go play it.

The solution

A cohesive, confident brand wrapped around a simple mobile experience — find a course, open a hole, watch the flyover — backed by a marketing kit that made a new company feel established from day one.

01 — Brand identity

A mark that says "drone" and "golf" at once.

Aerial Golf logo system

The identity fuses a quadcopter, the wordmark, and a flagged putting green into a single, instantly legible mark.

Built as a full system — official, solid, grayscale, and inverted-with-shadow — set in Mostra Nuova with a defined green / black / red palette, so the brand stayed consistent across web, video, and print.

02 — The product

A mobile-first site built around watching, then playing.

Three core screens carried the experience: a welcoming home, a searchable course directory, and a course detail page where the drone videos lived.

Screen flow

Core flow — from landing, to choosing a course, to previewing each hole.

03 — Marketing & growth

Collateral to explain a new category.

A launch kit that pitched courses and golfers alike — banners, ads, promos, partnership graphics, and an explainer one-pager.

Outcome

Zero to launched.

A brand from scratch

A complete, flexible identity system carried across web, drone video, print, and apparel.

A live product

A responsive WordPress platform where golfers browsed courses and watched hole-by-hole previews — with real courses like Valley View onboarded.

A go-to-market kit

Banners, ads, promos, and a partner program that gave a first-of-its-kind concept a way to explain itself.
